  Since 1987 The University at Buffalo has been in partnership with industry. This partnership has produced many success stories.   About Minitab Training
  This training is for anyone who needs to be able to manipulate data and solve problems using Minitab v14. You will learn how to use and interpret Minitab graphs, including histograms, plots, box plots, bar charts, interval plots and time series plots. You will also assess the normality of your data using graphs and basic statistics, such as measures of center and spread, and confidence intervals. The training will be conducted in an interactive setting with plenty of hands-on demonstrations. Both transactional and manufacturing examples will be used.

  • Understanding Minitab's menus (Data, Calculus, Statistics, Graphs)
  • Data entry and manipulation (spread sheet layout, stacking / unstacking, data types)
  • Exploratory graphical tools (scatter plots, histograms, box plots)
  • Basic statistical analysis (means & variance testing, distribution identification, fitted line
    plots)
  • Quality tools including capabilities study (Pareto Charts, Cause & Effect Diagrams, and Capability Analysis)
