Global Business Strategies

Western New York boasts a diverse mix of manufacturing. But virtually all plant environments share the need to maximize production efficiencies and deliver a quality product.

The Center for Industrial Effectiveness (TCIE) works in virtually every industry, from food products to primary metals. Project teams draw from UB’s distinguished Department of Industrial Engineering, from private consultants expert in ISO 9000 and other quality systems, from UB programs like the Center for Excellence in Global Enterprise Management, and from our own staff resources who work extensively on the implementation of lean enterprise and quality management programs (e.g. ISO 9000, TS16949, etc).

Projects feature plant layout optimization, materials handling and workflow analysis, operational assessments, quality program implementation, lean manufacturing initiatives, workplace ergonomics, scheduling strategies and software.
