A Lean Enterprise is one that continually seeks to eliminate waste from all work processes. If customers are not able to perceive value arising from their supplier's activities, they will be unwilling to pay for such activities, especially when an alternative exists. Don't wait for your customers to “go away” before you embark on the Lean journey! Those who achieve the greatest success in Lean implementations follow a roadmap that includes the following elements:

| TCIE's Lean Enterprise training program utilizes experienced training personnel from both staff and faculty members at the University of Buffalo, as well as private practitioners highly skilled in their specific areas of expertise. Class sizes can be as small as 3 or 4 students, and as large as 20 or more students. Training is delivered at the venue that best meets the needs of the organization, be it in the workplace or at TCIE's Amherst facility. | ||||||||||||

| Lean training courses especially valuable for manufacturing operations include Set-Up Reduction (24 hours), Operations Balancing (16 hours), Cellular Flow (16 hours), and Pull/Kanban (16 hours). Contact TCIE for details on these and other specialized courses. Trainees will receive Continuing Education Credits (0.1 CEC per hour) from UB's School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. | ||||||||||||
