ISO Maintenance Audit

Dear customers and business partners,

The University at Buffalo’s commitment to this region extends beyond education. UB programs promote a wide range of economic development initiatives and business services. One fundamental way that UB demonstrates commitment to the economic health of Western New York is through The Center for Industrial Effectiveness (TCIE).

TCIE, part of UB’s School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, works to strengthen area businesses and industry. Specifically, our objectives are:

To assist local industry in improving productivity and competitiveness
To broker appropriate relationships for clients from various community resources including UB resources, other educational institutions, private consultants, and industry practitioners
To motivate and help industry develop people, utilize technology, improve business practices and modernize products, processes and facilities
To mobilize and leverage government, private, public and academic resources to help manufacturers’ grow and improve
The Center for Industrial Effectiveness program assists small businesses with their ISO 9001:2000, ISO/TS 16949, and ISO 14001:2004 management systems activities necessary to maintain their current level of certification. For small business it is often a difficult task to pull resources from daily responsibilities to perform the required internal audits and documentation updates.

Our 2nd party ISO maintenance audit program involves a TCIE industrial engineer/certified auditor assisting the quality systems professional at your company. By performing the maintenance audit duties, the quality manager has more time to be strategic effecting better results for the organization. TCIE has a team of qualified professionals that have worked with a variety of industries from a two person workshop to multi-national companies and together have completed over 75 quality management systems implementations.

This program is sponsored through the Strategic Partnership for Industrial Resurgence (SPIR), an economic development program of the University at Buffalo School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS). The program utilizes engineering resources from UB to improve productivity, become more competitive, and create and retain jobs.

Sincerely,

Tim Leyh

Director, Business Development
