Green Belt Training Fall 2008

UB's Center for Industrial Effectiveness's Green Belt Certification training is an important step and a strategic direction for an organization seeking the benefits of Six Sigma. By having qualified Green Belts as part of your deployment team, your commitment to achieve results through a company-wide deployment of Six Sigma is easier to accomplish. Green Belt candidates will learn the fundamentals of the Six Sigma methodology (DMAIC), understand principles and concepts of quality management, and learn how to effectively apply appropriate Six Sigma tools at the opportune time, all the while supporting Black Belt project managers who are tasked with the overall deployment of Six Sigma.

Six Sigma Champion Training Fall 2008

Executive and management level commitment is essential for a successful Six Sigma program. A formal Six Sigma program utilizes the executive/owner, a champion (usually a plant manager type), a Black Belt and either Green Belts and/or other employees trained in problem-solving processes. In these sessions the Champions role is defined, the “Voice of the Customer” concept is presented, the DMAIC (define, measure, analyze, improve and control) problem-solving approach is reviewed, measurement of results (including financials) is presented and stressed, and project management tools and concepts are taught.

Bridge to Black Belt Training Fall 2008

TCIE has developed a training program to assist certified Green Belts in their goal to become a certified Black Belt. We call this program "Bridge to Black Belt". The Bridge to Black Belt program is presented in conjunction with our Black Belt Certification training. Considering that these courses run in tandem, and realizing that no two adults learn in the same manner, it was important to the success of our program to create an open environment by which each trainee could audit, as needed, the 200 hrs of Black Belt course instruction.
